Working in the business and improving it at the same time can be daunting and frustrating. Time is often the business owners scarcest resource. Strategy too often gets shuffled to the bottom of the pile, the victim to seemingly, pressing and never-ending operational matters. Even where strategic discussions get the time they deserve, it’s hard to know where to start and how to proceed. The resources available are often contradictory, and the examples given are from mega-corporations and silicon valley start-ups that are hard to relate to.
It’s all but impossible for business owners to take a neutral position on their own company and very difficult for senior executives to leave their departmental viewpoints at the door. Executives usually lobby for fairness; attention and resources divided equally between areas, whereas maximising opportunity often requires greater resources and planning applied to fewer ideas.
We can deploy our proven and flexible methodology in whole or part – depending what you have in place and how fast you want to go. We work with clients at their premises or offsite and have designed and delivered strategic retreats for clients senior leadership teams.
Our approach is designed specifically for SME businesses; we keep strategy simple and practical, and can add extra horsepower to help get the work that follows strategic insight done. You don’t have to know about Blue or Red Oceans, be an expert with the Business Model Canvass; or know Ansoffs Grid from BCG’S matrix – that’s our job.
One-size doesn’t fit all. We can help with some or all of your strategy development and implementation. Get in touch for a bespoke quote.
