DELIVERING A POTENT MIX OF CONSULTANCY,
COACHING AND NON-EXEC ADVICE.
I saw too many good companies fall short of their growth and profit potential, and founded Crawford Strategic to help ambitious business owners strengthen and improve their businesses.
Am I a strategist, consultant, coach or non-executive? I don't believe the label matters, its results that do. Through Crawford, I deliver a potent mix of consultancy, coaching, and strategic advice.
I'm proud of my work, and the results I help clients achieve, so when it's time to play, I try to go big. I have a passion for running long distances, in harsh environments. I have completed many extreme running events, in the UK and overseas.
- The West Highland Way Race, 96 miles.
- The Hardmoors 110, 112 miles.
- The Spine Challenger, 110 miles.
Overseas self-sufficient multi-day ultra-marathons:
- Marathon des Sables, 250KM, in the Moroccan Sahara.
- The Jungle Ultra, 250KM, in the Peruvian Amazon.
- The Desert Ultra, 260KM, in the Namib desert.
Countries I have experience in:
Beyond the UK, I spent several years living in the far-east and worked in Indonesia and China.
My client list includes organisations in the following sectors:
Plastic ancillary equipment, power generation, professional services practices, oil & gas, financial services, engineering, recycling, specialty chemicals, technology startups, and construction materials. The teams I am working with are responsible for budgets ranging from £3M to £190M.
I have a deep love for engineering and am immensely proud to work with British manufacturers.
I like to be the first to achieve something special. Born in Northern Ireland in the 1960s, challenging environments are not new to me. New challenges make me tingle with excitement never fear.
I help ambitious business owners build a stronger more profitable company’s through a potent mix of consultancy, coaching, and strategic advice, focusing on manufacturing and engineering projects.
Away from work, I satisfy my love for engineering through motorsport where I compete in Hill Climbs and Sprints in my self-prepared VW Beetle. Fitted with a Porsche 911 flat six motor, it's unconventional, full of personality and just a tad loud, it never fails to make people smile.
I joined Turner Manufacturing Co as an apprentice toolmaker in 1982. Alongside learning my trade, I worked with school children to build a pedal car for a local event. Not satisfied, wanting to test the durability of the car, I and four other riders pedaled that car 962 miles from John O'Groats to Land's End in eight days; a world first that to the best of my knowledge has yet to be repeated.
I spent 23 years with Turner Manufacturing Co, through its various guises and owners. Finishing as Master Production Scheduler with Turner Power Systems, I benefitted from the organisation's fantastic development program gaining management and leadership skills and experience.
The balance of my career leading up to my appointment with Crawford Strategic was spent as a senior leader and board director with Engineering and Manufacturing companies developing teams to improve efficiency, reduce inventory and make high-quality parts and products.
I love making deals and saving time and money. Buying or selling, I’m happiest negotiating. I enjoy simplifying processes and finding efficiencies.
I help to ensure Crawford runs smoothly looking after all of the back office processes so that the rest of the team can focus where it counts, on our clients.
Born and brought up in Indonesia, I studied in Singapore, before moving to China and then the UK. I love to travel.
My background is in buying, predominantly in construction, I have worked from main-contractors, manufacturers and mechanical and engineering firms.
I believe learning should be practice-based and interactive so that individuals have the opportunity to ‘try out’ new approaches in the training room, first, rather than in the workplace. By giving people the opportunity to hone their skills and to receive structured, specific feedback on their personal impact, they gain the confidence to apply what they have learned when it matters.
I work with Crawford to deliver Leadership Development and Management training to support their work with ambitious business owners and their teams.
I work with individuals and teams on coaching for high performance, personal impact, and influence and overcoming challenging conversations.
I aim to bring clarity, humor, and sensitivity to my work to leave participants with the motivation to put new skills into practice, immediately, while removing the fears and habits that hold them back.
I am also an actor and run Stagecoach Stafford and Stone, where children can learn core life skills whilst practicing Dance, Drama, and Singing.
My client list includes:
Home Retail Group, Argos, DLA Piper, BDO, Boston Scientific, Homeserve, Lafarge, The BBC, Staffordshire County Council, Eon, Interserve, and DNV GL.
We're proud of our work, and the results we help our clients achieve, so when it's time to play, we go big.
We'd love to hear
